New Announcements Grade 12 All about me forms (Mar 09, 2010) There are still quite a number (more than 30) Grade 12s who have not completed either a paper copy or an online submission of their All about me forms. It is that time of year again when the Scholarship Committee will soon be meeting to discuss the school awards, and unless you have completed and submitted one of these forms you cannot be considered for a school award. Please speak to Mrs. Gares as soon as possible or complete and submit the form online today! Forms are located on the websites under "Services" then "Web services" STA Skate & Hockey Mania (Mar 08, 2010) P.E 11&12 will be going Skating and playing hockey at Ice Sports North Shore Tues 16 March. Time to get your skates sharpened and workon your wrist shot. MOVIE NIGHT (Mar 08, 2010) Come and join the grade 12's at their movie night this Friday at 7:30 pm in the multi-purpose room in support of their dry after grad party. The fim is "Lord of the Rings". Bring your slippers and pillows and wear your "Canadian Reds". The best outfit wins a movie pass for 2 to a Cineplex theatre. Hot popcorn, drinks and candy is available for sale at the movie. See you all there. "The Grade 12's" Sun Run practice (Mar 08, 2010) There will be no practice this Wednesday, but there will be one after school Friday. Debate Club meeting (Mar 08, 2010) This Wednesday at lunch in 205. Student Council (Mar 08, 2010) The student council exec and grade rep meeting is on Thursday this week (March 11) at lunch in room 204 (not Monday as usual). See ya there! Debate Club (Mar 08, 2010) Meet this Thursday at lunch in 205 if you are interested in the Maple Ridge Competition. Senior Concert Band (Mar 07, 2010) Out of class testing for woodwinds will be at lunch on Wednesday instead of before school as previously announced. Mr. Horton is unavailable on Wednesday morning before school. Out of class testing for brass on Friday will be before school as originally announced. Sound Crew (Mar 07, 2010) Level II testing resumes on Thursday afternoon. Volunteers are needed for Mass on Thursday and Talent Show next week. Please see Mr. Horton if you can help. Jazz Ensembles (Mar 07, 2010) Rehearsals resume on Wednesday for Junior Jazz and Thursday for Senior Jazz. Final payment for Victoria trip is due on Monday Science Challenge (Mar 06, 2010) Grade 8s and 9s wanting to do this week's science challenge should meet in room 504 at lunch time on Wednesday. It's going to be another surprise this week... Talent Show Auditions (Mar 05, 2010) Student Council thanks all those who auditioned for the upcoming STA Talent Show on March 17 (St. Patrick's Day). What a great turn out! Decisions will be made by the student/teacher judging panel by Wednesday lunch (March 10). There is a meeting on Wed at lunch in room 204 for all who took part. Gymnastics Provincials Picture (Mar 05, 2010) There will be a team picture for all gymnasts who went to provincial championships on Wednesday, March 10th at 3pm. Please meet in the foyer. Volunteers needed (Mar 04, 2010) The Not So Secret Life of Teens is looking for student volunteers to sell tickets at lunch. If you are interested in signing up for a lunch hour or two, please go to a sign up meeting on Monday, March 9th after school (12:20pm) in Portable 403. Year Play Tickets on Sale Wednesday, March 10th (Mar 04, 2010) Tickets for this year's play, "The Not So Secret Life of Teens" will go on sale next Wednesday at lunch in the foyer. Performances are March 25-27th at 7:30pm at Kay Meek Theatre in West Vancouver. Tickets are $12. The Not So Secret...Cast Members (Mar 04, 2010) The rehearsal schedule for Monday, March 9th and Tuesday, March 10th has changed. Please note the new times. Monday- 1:00pm-3:30pm and Tuesday -10:00am-12:30pm. Senior Girls Soccer (grades 9-12) (Mar 04, 2010) Mandatory meeting for the Senior Girls Soccer Team today (Friday March 5th) at lunch in Room 305. First team practice will be Tuesday March 9th from 8-9am at William Griffin Turf. Second team practice will be Friday March 12th from 6:45-8am at William Griffin Turf. Everyone must attend! Junior Girls Soccer (grades 8-10) (Mar 04, 2010) The first Junior Girls Soccer tryout will be on Tuesday March 9th from 8-9am at William Griffin Turf. You are responsible for getting dropped off and picked up because there is no school on Tuesday. Thursday March 11th from 6:45-8am at William Griffin Turf is the other tryout. There will be a bus to bring you back to the school on Thursday.
